Section 1.1: What's New in Version 1.1

TouchTerm Pro v1.1 adds several new features:

  • Import/Export: Configuration Profiles, Saved Connections, and Keypads can all be exported and imported using a standard XML data format. For more details, see the Import/Export section.
  • Application Lock: Use the Application Lock to set a master password for accessing TouchTerm Pro, or to temporarily lock an active terminal session.
  • Auto-Reconnection: Use the Auto-Reconnect Option to have TouchTerm automatically reconnect to the last used Saved Connection if it was aborted using the Home button. Using this along with Persistent Connections can provide near-seamless connection restoration when quitting and restarting TouchTerm.
  • New Actions: Newly added is a Lock Screen Action, for locking TT at any time; and Show Action Help, for displaying the currently mapped gestures and their Actions (without requiring the Help button on the Terminal Display).
  • New Default Gestures: When using the Default Profile, gesture mapppings have been added to bring up the Application Lock and issue a Ctrl-C.
  • Connection Diagnostics: When TouchTerm encounters an SSH connection error, it will now display a diagnostic debugging log, and copy the contents of the log to the Clipboard.
  • New Fonts: The new Font Face Option (under "Display" Settings) offers the selection from 3 different monospace fonts, offering better readability at smaller font sizes.
  • Sticky Keyboard Option: The new Sticky Keyboard option (under "Terminal" Settings) can be used to make changes in the Keyboard state "sticky", which can be useful when frequently using special characters or caps.
